QA Engineer

We are looking for a QA Engineer on behalf of and in support to our client for their location in Barcelona, Spain. The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism.

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at the interview stage).

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

• Support the F4E QAO in implementing the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) strategy;
• Support the F4E QAO in the daily quality activities, such as supplier monitoring and audits, technical quality documentation review, corrective actions follow up, integration of QA requirements in the technical and management specifications issued to contractors, review of the Contractor’s documentation to check the consistency with the QA requirements etc.;
• Liaise with Contractors to ensure the implementation of QA requirements, organising and participating in QA meetings with them (and their subcontractors, if any);
• Liaise with ITER Organization QAO on Quality topics;
• Attend non-conformities review panels, assessing non-conformance classification, root cause analysis and supporting the definition of remedial and corrective actions;
• Represent the F4E QAO in Design, Manufacturing, Testing and Delivery Reviews;
• Interact with F4E Nuclear Safety Officers when activities affect Nuclear Safety;
• Prepare ad-hoc reports on projects as needed;
• Perform typical document management duties. This may involve copying documents, electronically (and, unfrequently, physically), filing documents, organising documents, and ensuring documents are saved in a correct place, checking the versions and obsoleting/deleting the old ones. The maintenance of the archiving tree structure, as well as the support to document retrieval requests are other requested tasks.

• A bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Nuclear Engineering;
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience;
• Experience working in tasks similar to those above;
• Experience working with document management systems;
• Experience working as QA officer for projects in the building sector is an asset;
• Experience in the ITER Project is an asset;
• Knowledge of ISO 9001;
• Understanding of technical and construction documents (drawings, calculations, etc.);
• Certification as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor is an asset;
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
• Knowledge of French is an asset;
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
