Service Desk Technician

Job description

We are looking for multiple Service Desk Technicians on behalf of and in support to our client for their location in Cadarache, France. The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism.

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

  • First level user support for all IT related issues:
    • Jira ticket qualification and management;
    • Direct end user interaction at Service Desk;
    • Onsite and remote support.
  •  Administration of Client Computers:
    • Manage on-site stock of end user computers and spare parts;
    • Installation of end user computers: laptops, desktops and workstations;
    • Perform hardware maintenance including repairs on end user computers.
  • Software installation:
    • Manage software requests: tickets or other workflows;
    • Manage and maintain a software and license inventory;
    • Install requested software manually or through automated tools.
  • Service Desk documentation:
    • How-tos for users;
    • Confluence documentation for Service Desk team members (Knowledge Base).
  • Printer management:
    • Proactive management of consumables and spare parts
    • Maintenance.
  • IT internal processes support;
  • Treat internal IT tickets and follow-up support for specific to IT processes;
    • Internal IT tool updates;
    • Access and account related tickets;
    • Update of internal confluence pages according to predefined rules;
    • Data integrity and consistency follow-up support of IT internal tools;
    • Support for ticket treatment of user request related to the procurement of IT;
  • Hardware, software and services. (excluding the use of SAP);
    • Support of deliveries lifecycle related work steps.

Please be informed this position might require full on-site support and on-call availability.

Job requirements

  • Completed secondary education in Information Technology or similar subject;
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience, including at least 1 year of work experience in a similar role;
  • Experience in providing support to Windows OS and Mac OS based client devices;
  • Experience with reporting on, configuring and troubleshooting of networks, local printing facilities, mobile phones and smartphones;
  • Experience with first line networking (LAN, WiFi);
  • Exposure to approved client applications (i.e., SAP, Adobe, MS Office, Encryption tools, etc.);
  • Experience in O365 is a strong asset;
  • Work experience in an international environment is an asset;
  • Proactive and customer-focused mind-set with a courteous and respectful approach is a must;
  • Excellent communicator with friendly attitude and active listening skills;
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and empathetic person with willingness to collaborate with others on different tasks and also occasionally work outside of regular working hours to respond to operational needs;
  • Able to work both autonomously and in a team;
  • Logical thinking, desire to learn and continuously develop;
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification is an asset;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
  • Eligibility to work and live in the EU.
