Job description

We are looking for a BMC Helix System Architect on behalf of the European Space Agency (ESA) for their location in either Rome (Italy), Noordwijk (The Netherlands) or Madrid (Spain). The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism.


Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).


The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

  • Support the decision making in the management and use of BMC Helix Digital Workplace (DWP) service development including Asset management and Dashboards;
  • Support the definition of the integration of the BMC Helix DWP suite and follow up with industry;
  • Limited but necessary hands on tasks;
  • Collaborate with the customer and team to design a long-term implementation roadmap and develop future BMC Helix capabilities;
  • Provide consultancy for the end-to-end process for management of ITSM technology development within ESA, providing the function to different working groups, and evolving it as required to improve efficiency and use.

Job requirements

  • Masters degree in Software Engineering or Information Technology;
  • At least 4 years of demonstrated relevant experience;
  • Extensive experience with BMC ITSM solutions at system level is essential;
  • Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM process flows within BMC Helix;
  • Hands on experience in configuring and integrating BMC Helix DWP solutions;
  • Familiarity with electronics office automation tools (e.g. Microsoft Office suite, including Access) and techniques, electronic mailing, customized databases, and ideally, familiarity with ESA corporate tools;
  • Rigor, commitment and reliability in the execution of the assigned tasks and capacity to identify priority actions;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
