Configuration Management Engineer

We are looking for a Configuration Management Engineer in support to the Systems Integration & Performance Group on behalf of and in support to our client for their location in Barcelona, Spain. The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism.

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

• Support the Project Change Request (PCR) management processes:

  • Assist in the management of PCRs impacting F4E, from their origination to their closure;

  • Support the preparation of F4E Pre-Configuration Control Board (CCB), ITER CCB and related documentation;

  • Support the review of PCR management processes and procedures.

• Support the F4E configuration management processes:

  • Review, control and monitor PA Change Notices, Deviations, Direct Implementations, Project Change Requests (PCRs) and similar (change management);

  • Input coordination to ensure a complete impact analysis and process follow-up of the change management mechanisms above;

  • Implementation of monitoring tools to ensure exhaustive configuration control.

• Assist in the deployment and improvement of configuration management tools:

  • Contribute to the improvement of the PCR management tool;

  • Contribute to the implementation and use of other configuration management tools.

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; 

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience; 

• Experience with engineering data lifecycle management systems; 

• Experience in large technological projects (nuclear, space, aeronautics, etc.); 

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel; 

• Good knowledge of Systems Engineering methodologies, in particular of Configuration Management; 

• Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU; 

• Good level of English. 

  Advantageous: 

• Experience in developing engineering procedures and policies; 

• Experience working in large international consortia or multi-partner engineering environments; 

• Proactive attitude toward process improvement and standardization; 

• Knowledge of the ITER Project; 

• Experience in reporting systems.
