Job description

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer on behalf of and in support to our client Fusion for Energy (F4E) for their location in Naka, Japan. The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism.


Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at the interview stage).


The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

  • Support the follow-up of on-site installation, commissioning and testing activities of the JT-60SA Power Supply components performed by industrial suppliers in Naka;
  • Support integration activities of JT-60SA Power Supply components in close contact with the Integrated Commissioning Team in Naka;
  • Support the Japanese counterparts in Naka to perform troubleshooting and to find technical solutions to solve operation issues of the JT-60SA Power Supply components as they arise.

Job requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent;
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience;
  • Experience in installation and commissioning/operation of advanced and complex electrical components;
  • Experience in the installation and commissioning/operation of high power (MW range) Power Supply systems is an asset;
  • Experience in an international scientific project is an asset;
  • Ability to integrate into an international and multicultural environment;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English;
  • Working knowledge of Japanese is an asset.
