Support to the ESA Learn with Space Program (STEM Educational Activities)

Job description

We are looking for a professional support for the ESA Learn with Space Program to complete our consultants Workforce Management Service. The position will be in support to the ESA Education Office at their location in Redu, Belgium. The role will support in the implementation of the ESA/ESERO framework program, part of the Learn with Space activities. The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism.


Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at the interview stage).


The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

  • Support the placing, coordination and monitoring of the ESERO contracts, including inputs to the drafting of procurement documents, the assessment of proposals and activity plans in line with the ESA Education programme strategy and vision;
  • Follow up on ESERO deliverables, reporting, invoicing and evaluation;
  • Support the management of relationships with the ESA Member and Associate States delegations, national stakeholders and partners for the implementation of the project, its evolution at national level, for its establishment in new ESA countries and/or the identification of national ESERO providers, by organizing and/or participating in meetings, calls, and other exchange forums as indicated by ESA;
  • Support the organization of, and actively participate in, ESERO manager meetings and any other ESERO-related meeting (e.g. ad-hoc bilateral meetings, etc), both from the organizational and content points of view;
  • Support the organization and execution of ESERO-related events;
  • Maintain an updated record of ESERO-related statistics and participation figures.

Job requirements

  • Master’s degree (or an equivalent qualification) in an engineering or scientific domain;
  • STEM-related school teaching (didactics) qualification/specialisation and/or relevant
    experience;
  • Experience in supporting international education projects for young people(3-18 y/o range), including procurement/contractual aspects, as well as application of Data Protection and project evaluation aspects;
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the current European school-level education status, needs, priorities and trends;
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the current European early-age education;
  • Working knowledge/understanding of ESA and the space domain;
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
