Job description

We are looking for an ​Event Coordinator​ on behalf of the European Space Agency (ESA) for their location in ​Noordwijk, The Netherlands​, to join their ​Human and Robotics Exploration department​.  

 

Please be aware that this position is intended to be filled on a part-time basis (32-hours per week). 

 

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). 

 

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: 

  • Provide various logistic support or plan, coordinate, and implement end-to-end exhibitions and events. This may include (but is not limited to): 

    • Venue scouting;

    • Branding and promotion of the events; 

    • Design and implementation of exhibitions; 

    • Manage the registration tool; 

    • Support competition and challenges logistics; 

    • Identify additional external services needed (e.g. moderation, technical support, catering); 

    • Request offers and quotations, negotiate price and conditions; 

    • Present the proposed outline for the event to the customer to seek approval and confirm event planning to the customer. 

  • Organise and support as needed effective on-site support for exhibitions and events.

Job requirements

Please ensure that your CV clearly explains how you meet the essential requirements. If it doesn’t align completely with the essential criteria, it could result in rejection. 

 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or another relevant discipline; 

  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience; 

  • Knowledge to navigate around and understand formal communication and be ability to analyse a range of issues within the complex institutional environments of ESA, EU, and the relevant industrial landscape; 

  • Ability to deliver qualitative output under pressure; 

  • Ability to execute activities with a high degree of autonomy; 

  • A good sense of organization; 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as tact and discretion; 

  • Proficiency in the use of the Agency’s information systems and tools is an asset; 

  • Willing and able to travel within the EU as required; 

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; 

  • Knowledge of other European languages is an asset; 

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
