Job description

We are looking for a Integration Mechanical Engineer (Nuclear) on behalf of and in support to our client in Munich, Germany. Please be aware that this is a fully remote position.

 

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). 

 

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:  

  • Lead the systems engineering efforts for the stellarator power plant, including defining system requirements, developing system architectures, validation and verification, and managing system interfaces; 

  • Definition of a systems engineering framework; 

  • Coordinate with various engineering disciplines to ensure integration and compatibility of subsystems;  

  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including specifications, design documents, interface control documents; 

  • Implement system-level testing and verification to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications;  

  • Ensure proper QA and data processes are developed to support and streamline the eventual licensing of the fusion power plant.

Job requirements

Please ensure that your CV clearly explains how you meet the mandatory requirements. If it doesn’t align completely with the essential criteria, it could result in rejection. 

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in the engineering field;  

  • At least 8 years of experience in a relevant field; 

  • At least 7-10 years of experience in systems engineering or related fields, ideally in large-scale engineering projects is preferred;

  • Experience in system architecture design, integration, and testing;

  • Familiarity with systems engineering tools and methodologies; 

  • Professional recognition through full membership of a relevant Institution, or completion of a Phd/Dr.-Ing in a relevant engineering area is an asset; 

  • Fluency in English both written and spoken.
