Job description

We are looking for multiple people in support to Ground and Space Segment Maintenance, Integrated Logistics on behalf of and in support to our client for multiple locations in Europe: Prague, Saint-Germain-en-Laye (France), Madrid (Spain), Noordwijk (the Netherlands), Oberpfaffenhoffen (Germany), Fucino (Italy) and Toulouse (France). The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism. Please note that the start date would be the beginning of April 2024 and that the engagement will be in two consecutive phases (within and after October 2024).


The activities below will include frequent access to classified security areas and systems. They may entail meetings in the other client's premises in Europe, EC premises in Brussels, ESA premises in Noordwijk – ESTEC (The Netherlands) or other European centres, Galileo Control Centres in Fucino (Italy) and Oberpfaffenhoffen (Germany) or other space programme sites across the world (for a few tasks).


Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).


The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

  • Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and field deployment;
    • Verification of proper implementation of the European space program components Ground Segment ILS services requirements baseline;
    • Analysis and support to the management of export control, taxes and customs aspects related to the deployment of EU assets out of EU (e.g. EGNOS RIMS stations);
    • Analysis and support to the Packaging, Health, Safety and Transport aspects of EU equipment field deployment;
    • Support to supervision of the implementation of the activities at the ILS center;
    • Support to the definition of the asset management strategy, and review of the asset deployment plan and inventory in relation to sites deployment;
  • Ground segment maintenance;
    • Follow-up the ground segment deployment activities of new system release/evolution;
    • Support to operations from anomalies root cause investigation to validation;
    • Review of the classification of observation reports, the maintenance reports, and anomalies in view of the preparation of the anomaly review board;
    • Definition of criticality/urgency for anomaly resolution, setting adequate priorities and ensuring and monitoring the timely management by industry of anomalies and nonconformance reports;
    • Contribution to the analysis of anomalies raised by the service operator and participate to the relevant ARB/NRB for aspects related to ground segment;
    • Participation to the ground segment reviews and CCB relevant to the tasks under her/his responsibility;
    • Review the operational validation strategy and outcome;
    • Review of the relevant KPIs and deliverables, and propose actions and improvements to address issues and opportunities;
  • Space segment maintenance;
    • Review of the technical documentation for the space segment level activities and ensure consistency with system level documentation;
    • Support operations from anomalies root cause investigation to validation (from cradle to grave);
    • Review of the classification of observation reports, the maintenance reports, and anomalies in view of the preparation of the anomaly review board;
    • Definition criticality/urgency for anomaly resolution, setting adequate priorities and ensuring and monitoring the timely management by industry of anomalies and nonconformance reports;
    • Contribution to the analysis of anomalies raised by the service operator and participate to the relevant ARB/NRB for aspects related to space segment;
    • Participation to the space segment reviews and CCB relevant to the tasks under her/his responsibility;
    • Assessment of the impact of the Segment maintenance activities and its evolutions on Segment qualification status;
    • Follow-up of the preparation and conduction of LEOP and IOT;
    • Review of the relevant KPIs and deliverables, and propose actions and improvements to address issues and opportunities.

Job requirements

  • Master degree in Engineering or relevant field; Possibly Bachelor with solid experience as a fall back option;
  • Between 2 and 10 years of relevant working experience in security engineering for classified environments / defence;
  • Exposed to ISO27001 / 27002 certified environments and COMSEC information;
  • One or more of the fields of expertise are required:
    • Security Governance and risk management;
    • Security Audit and implementation;
    • Service and facility management;
    • Handling of classified documentation (EU, NATO);
    • Security accreditation;
    • Business development.
  • ISO27001 audit experience is an asset;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
  • Eligibility to work and live in the EU;
  • Eligibility for EU Personal Security Clearance is mandatory.
