Job description

We are looking for a ​Ground Segment Project Engineer​ to complete our consultants Workforce Management Service to support the European Space Agency (ESA) at their location in ​Harwell, United Kingdom​. The purpose of this Support Service is to support ​the EO Science Mission operational framework and ensure readiness of documentation, interfaces, deliverables, and entry criteria before the project becomes operational. ​ 

 

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at the interview stage). 

 

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: 

  • Analyse project scope and define onboarding work packages; 

  • Produce the onboarding plan (activities, milestones, risk log); 

  • Coordinate technical interfaces with ESA, suppliers, and other contractors; 

  • Ensure operational readiness criteria are met prior to transition.

Job requirements

Please ensure that your CV clearly explains how you meet the mandatory requirements. If it doesn’t align completely with the essential criteria, it could result in rejection. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences (STEM); 

  • At least 4 years of experience in project engineering or systems engineering; 

  • Proven experience leading onboarding or introduction of new systems or projects; 

  • Stakeholder management experience, such as customers and subcontractors; 

  • Experience in multi-supplier or multi-contract environments; 

  • Familiarity with ESA or ECSS project lifecycle is an asset;  

  • Experience with operational reviews such as ORR, TRR, TTO is an asset;  

  • Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom; 

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
