Job description

We are looking for an ​IT Compliance Officer​ to complete our consultants Workforce Management Service to support the ​Space Transportation (STS) Directorate​ of the European Space Agency (ESA) at their headquarters in ​Paris, France​.  

 

The purpose of this Support Service is to ​provide technical and operational support to data processing systems within the Space Transportation Directorate. The Service should support the design, development, integration, and maintenance of data processing systems used in space transportation projects. The Service should also contribute to the optimization of workflows, implementation of AI-based enhancements, and ensure compliance with ESA standards.​ 

 

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at the interview stage).

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: 

  • Support standard information management: reception, checking, registration and classification in data base, distribution of incoming technical documentation, engineering data and drawings;  

  • Support the team for the creation of project documentation: providing reference numbers, verification of compliance with the applicable documentation management plans, security and quality standards, support for the signature loops;  

  • Support project reviews by preparing and ensuring availability of technical data packages, tool setup and internal and external user support;  

  • Monitor database integrity and consistency in terms of metadata, relevance, validity and applicability of the documents, and completeness (in particular of the A6 Master File collection);  

  • Monitor database in terms of compliance with security classification levels, including management and processing of limited distribution/classified documents;  

  • Support long term archiving of documentation (analogue and digital archives);  

  • Provide technical assistance in the development, operations and maintenance of data processing systems supporting space transportation Programmes;  

  • Support the integration of data systems with operational platforms and ensure alignment with Programmes requirements;  

  • Support the troubleshooting and resolving technical issues reported by users and stakeholders;  

  • Automate routine data handling and processing tasks to improve efficiency and reliability;  

  • Propose and implement AI and machine learning solutions to enhance data analysis and decision-making;  

  • Monitor system performance and ensure data integrity and consistency;  

  • Collect and analyse user requirements and translate them into system improvements;  

  • Contribute to the preparation and review of user documentation and training materials;  

  • Support compliance with ESA security and information management policies;  

  • Assist in the evaluation and adoption of new technologies relevant to data processing and information engineering.  

Job requirements

  • Master degree in Information Engineering or equivalent;  

  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience;  

  • Proven experience in data processing systems design and development, preferably in space or transportation sectors;  

  • Experience in IT Services Management and workflow optimization;  

  • Knowledge of AI/ML applications in data processing;  

  • Advanced computer skills (office tools, data base administration, encrypted containers);  

  • Previous experience of technical documentation management for space-related programmes and knowledge of official documentation management tool (Eclipse) is considered an asset;  

  • Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU;  

  • Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
