We are looking for a ​Manufacturing Engineer​ in support to our client Fusion for Energy for their location in ​Barcelona, Spain​.  Hybrid work arrangements can be allowed, with a mandatory one day per week in the Barcelona office. 

 

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).  

 

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: 

  • Follow-up the manufacturing of EC launcher components, such as ex-vessel waveguides, miter bends, diamond windows, launcher mirrors, blanket shield modules, auxiliary items, and others; 

  • Provide technical reviews of EW/UL system documentation, such as Design Description Documents, drawings and 3D models, qualification plans, manufacturing and test procedures, reports, or structural integrity reports; 

  • Monitor the safety classification of PIC/SIC/SR components and support the preparation of justification notes; 

  • Contribute to the drafting of RCC‑MRx equipment specifications; 

  • Support the review of supplier documentation.

Job requirements

Please ensure that your CV clearly explains how you meet these mandatory requirements. If it doesn’t align completely with the essential criteria, it could result in rejection. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Nuclear Engineering or similar); 

  •  At least 4 years of relevant extensive professional experience; 

  •  In absence of a Bachelor’s Degree, candidates with at least 8 years of experience can also be considered; 

  • Experience in at least one of the following fields: 

    • Deep drilling; 

    • High-precision machining (sub-mm); 

    • Dimensional inspection and GD&T usage; 

    • Cleaning for ultra-high vacuum compatibility; 

    • Welding or brazing and NDT inspection; 

    • Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) or diffusion bonding; 

    • Quality control of small-to-medium series; 

    • Assembly of piping systems; 

  • Knowledge of at least one of the following technical skills:

    • CATIA V5; 

    • ISO and/or EN standards; 

    • Product lifecycle management systems; 

    • RCC‑MRx requirements; 

    • Safety classifications and related requirements; 

  • Experience reviewing engineering documentation and participating in design reviews (such as Manufacturing Readiness Reviews). 

  • Experience in component qualification against industrial standards. 

  • Training in RCC‑MRx, ASME, EN standards, nuclear safety, or qualification is an asset. 

  • Knowledge of the Pressure Equipment Directive and related regulations is an asset. 

  • Experience with ITER/F4E processes and tools, such as DOORS, IDM, CTS, MDB, and their documentation workflow is an asset.
