Job description

We are looking for a ​Mechanical Engineer for Metrology​ in support to our client Fusion for Energy for their location in ​Barcelona, Spain​.  

 

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). 

 

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: 

  • Preparation and design of mechanical components (ASME III, ASME VIII, RCC-MR, RCC-MRx, Eurocodes, EN standards, European Directives, etc.) by use of at least one code and standard;  

  • Production of built-to-print documentation; 

  • Assessment of built-to-print documentation, checking both technical and economic aspects;  

  • Definition of the design of mechanical systems based on relevant manufacturing processes (forming, forging, rolling, joining, machining, assembly, testing, etc.);  

  • Performance of FMEAs and/or functional analyses and/or reliability analyses and/or spare part analyses.

Job requirements

Essential  

Please ensure that your CV clearly explains how you meet these mandatory requirements. If it doesn’t align completely with the essential criteria, it could result in rejection. 

  • Bachelor's Degree in industrial engineering (or similar); 

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience; 

  • Experience in the definition and review of geometrical requirements for complex mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring implementation of ISO GPS standards, mainly on Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T); 

  • Experience in the propagation of geometrical requirements along the project lifecycle; 

  • Experience in 3D design and in the preparation and review of 2D drawings;

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU;

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Advantageous: 

  • Experience in 3D design with CATIA; 

  • Experience in tolerance stack-up analysis software (such as 3DCS).
