.NET Developer (Remote from the EU)

Job description

We are looking for a ​.NET developer​ on behalf of and in support to our client based in The Hague, The Netherlands. This position is intended to be filled on a 100% off-site basis from anywhere within the EU.  

 

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). 

 

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: 

  • Development and maintenance of software applications;  

  • Development and integration of technological components; 

  • Implementation of user requirements; 

  • Prototyping; 

  • Elaboration of test programs; 

  • Integration with other applications; 

  • Writing of technical documentation;  

  • Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system; 

  • Participation in meetings with the project teams.

Job requirements

Please ensure that your CV clearly explains how you meet the mandatory requirements. If it doesn’t align completely with the essential criteria, it could result in rejection. 

  • Either a University degree of at least 4 years combined with 9 years of relevant working experience, or  a University degree of at least 3 years combined with 10 years of relevant working experience; 

  • At least 9 years of experience in Software Development;  

  • At least 5 years of experience with Back-End Development with .NET Framework; 

  • At least 5 years of experience in projects using Microsoft SQL Server with Stored Products;  

  • At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing scalable back-end components (REST APIs, integrations, micro-services); 

  • At least 5 years of experience working in an agile/scrum environment;  

  • At least 2 years if experience with Docker (Kubernetes of Docker Swarm);  

  • Experience in at least 2 production-ready projects with OAUTH standard;  

  • Experience in at least 2 production-ready projects managing Schengen Information System alerts via SIRENE files;  

  • Sound knowledge of application development environments;  

  • Sound knowledge of the micro-services design matters;  

  • Sound knowledge of asynchronous programming and messaging patterns;  

  • Sounds knowledge of .Net Framework 8.0+ (C#);  

  • Good knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. AGILE);  

  • Good knowledge of Git and the main branch strategies (git flow);  

  • Good knowledge of relational databases (SQL);  

  • Good knowledge of Azure Devops (Pipelines, Artifacts, TestPlans);  

  • Good knowledge of message brokers (ActiveMq, RabbitMq or Apache Kafka);  

  • Good knowledge of OOP paradigms and SOLID principles; 

  • Good knowledge of Agile Team implementing Scrum principles; 

  • Good knowledge of unit testing; 

  • Good knowledge of managing and manipulating NCMEC (National Centre for Missing & Exploited Child) and SIRENE (Supplementary Information Request at the National Entries) files; 

  • Good knowledge of NoSQL databases (Elasticsearch, Redis, Neo4j) is an asset; 

  • Experience with highly scalable systems is an asset; 

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU;  

  • Candidates must be able to present a certificate of good conduct no older than 3 months at the date of submission as per the client’s requirement;  

  • On-call support may be required and will be compensated additionally;  

  • Experience working in an international/multicultural environment;  

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
