Job description

We are looking for a ​Nuclear Engineer​ on behalf of and in support to our client for their location in ​Barcelona, Spain​. The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism. 

 

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). 

 

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: 

  • Ensure the compliance of F4E and F4E suppliers’ activities (design, qualification, fabrication, control etc.) with the applicable French Safety regulations, e.g., the 2012 Order on Basic Nuclear Installations (‘INB’), the Environmental Code, the ESPN regulation, etc.); 

  • Support the TBM team for Radwaste matters; 

  • Review technical documentation. The technical deliverables may cover design, manufacturing, testing, assembly, commissioning, or decommissioning activities; 

  • Collection, analysis, and interpretation of the results; 

  • Development of technical basis documents, technical evaluations; 

  • General technical assistance and activity reporting.

Job requirements

Please ensure that your CV clearly explains how you meet these mandatory requirements. If it doesn’t align completely with the essential criteria, it could result in rejection.

  • BEng in industrial, mechanical, electrical, aerospace, nuclear engineering, or similar relevant field; 

  • At least 14 years of relevant work experience; 

  • Knowledge and experience with severe accidents and nuclear safety codes such as MELCOR, RELAP5, or similar; 

  • Experience in the execution and review of engineering analyses; 

  • Experience reviewing mechanical and thermo-mechanical analysis reports; 

  • Knowledge of handling of tritium will be consider an asset; 

  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; 

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in EU.
