Project/Procurement Manager for IRIS²

We are looking for a ​Project/Procurement Manager​ on behalf of and in support to our client for their location in ​Arganda del Rey (Madrid), Spain​.  

As part of the SpaceRISE consortium, our client plays a central role in the IRIS² programme, leading the design, development and implementation of the ground segment, including the infrastructure needed to manage the constellation and connect it with terrestrial networks. The company is also responsible for service operations, such as defining the service catalogue, establishing procedures and developing delivery models for member states. 

In addition, our client leads the Low LEO segment, supporting innovative missions that strengthen the European space ecosystem. To meet its growing responsibilities, the company is progressively building a dedicated IRIS² team, currently composed of more than 40 professionals. 

This role requires relocation and on-site presence at the Satellite Control Centre in Arganda del Rey (Madrid). 

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). 

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: 

• Project Consortium organization; 

• Contractual set-up and workplans definition; 

• Manage and execute project activities in accordance with their declared objectives, schedule, quality and costs; 

• Monitor and control the schedule, budget and assigned technical team; 

• Internal and customer continuous reporting; 

• Continuous process improvement inside the project life cycle; 

• Identify and manage risks; 

• Monitor and support schedule and costs.

• Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field; 

• At least 10 years of relevant work experience;

• PMP certification is positively evaluated; 

• Experience in project management covering systems and HW and/or SW engineering within space, ground or similar domains with management and leadership skills; 

• Experience and knowledge of Subcontractor management; 

• Experience in Contractual Management; 

• Knowledge and experience in management tools such as MSProject and Agile methodology; 

• Good presentation and communication skills; 

• Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU;  

• Candidates must have or be eligible to obtain Personal Security Clearance (PSC) up to ESA SECRET / EU SECRET;  

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken; 

• Any other European language is considered as an asset.
