Job description

We are looking for a ​Space PA/QA Engineer​ on behalf of and in support to ATG Engineering in ​Noordwijk, The Netherlands​. The successful candidate will combine Product Assurance and Quality Assurance responsibilities with a strong involvement in Materials, Mechanical Parts & Processes (MMPP), manufacturing, and engineering activities, ensuring product quality, compliance, reliability, and mission success throughout the complete product lifecycle. 

 

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). 

 

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: 

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor qualification, verification, validation, and acceptance activities in accordance with project and customer requirements; 

  • Support the selection, qualification, approval, and control of materials, mechanical parts, manufacturing processes (MMPP) in accordance with applicable ECSS standards and customer requirements; 

  • Support Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) activities, ensuring product designs are optimized for manufacturability, repeatability, quality, and cost-effectiveness; 

  • Review engineering designs, CAD models, and technical drawings to ensure compliance with manufacturing, quality, and product assurance requirements; 

  • Support manufacturing readiness assessments and industrialization activities, including process qualification and production transfer; 

  • Verify the application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in product definitions, drawings, and inspection plans; 

  • Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams on producibility assessments, design changes, and continuous improvement initiatives; 

  • Support inspection planning activities, ensuring alignment between design requirements, manufacturing capabilities, and verification methods; 

  • Facilitate and support FMEA activities and project risk management processes; 

  • Participate in life cycle gates and reviews throughout the project; 

  • Conduct internal and supplier audits and support non-conformance management activities including root cause analysis; 

  • Develop, review, and maintain PA/QA documentation, plans, procedures, and project deliverables in accordance with applicable standards and customer requirements; 

  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and project teams to ensure compliance with technical, quality, and contractual requirements; 

  • Support supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and quality assurance activities throughout the supply chain.

Job requirements

Please ensure that your CV clearly explains how you meet the mandatory requirements. If it doesn’t align completely with the essential criteria, it could result in rejection. 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline; 

  • At least 3 years of experience in Product Assurance, Quality Assurance, MMPP or a comparable engineering role, with experience in aerospace materials and processes (including composite and metallic materials, manufacturing technologies, or special processes) considered a plus; 

  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, assembly, integration, inspection, or testing activities within aerospace, space, or other high-technology industries; 

  • Solid understanding of ECSS standards and their application; experience with AS9100 is an asset; 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and present information clearly to stakeholders; 

  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams and interface with customers, suppliers, and external partners; 

  • Knowledge of configuration management, change control, and product lifecycle management principles; 

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; 

  • Candidates must be eligible to wok in the EU.
